GRU customers

Report an outage: call 352-334-2871 at any hour. A dispatcher or GRU’s automated system, which GRU calls its Interactive Voice Response system, will take the report.

Before a storm: call 352-334-3434 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on a weekday to register your phone number with your account. Then, if your power goes out, the automated system needs only your phone number, GRU says.

After a storm: call 352-334-2871 if your neighbors’ power is back but yours is not. Check your circuit breakers before you call.

The outage map: gru.datacapable.com/map. GRU says the map refreshes every 15 minutes and shows the nearest substation, not individual addresses, to protect privacy. GRU does not give estimated restoration times during major outages.
