How admission works
The academy’s application page says families email the school to request an application. Applications go on a waiting list for each grade. Kindergarten openings are filled by lottery starting in December of the year before entry, and other openings by lottery as they come up. Siblings of current students and children of staff get priority. Its enrollment page says any Alachua County elementary student may apply, total enrollment is limited to 93, and classes have 12 to 16 students.
About the school
The academy’s About page describes academic classes in the morning and rotating music, drama, dance and visual arts in the afternoon, and says the state designates it a high-performing charter school.
