Attendance zone and feeder schools

Laying the district’s 2026-27 high school zone map over 2020 census block counts, the Eastside High zone takes in about 44% of the people who live inside Gainesville city limits, and 80% of the zone’s residents live inside the city.

The district does not publish a feeder list: students are zoned by address for each level. The middle school zones that overlap the Eastside High zone on the 2026-27 maps are Bishop Middle, Kanapaha Middle, Lincoln Middle and Westwood Middle.

Our neighborhood guides show how homes are zoned in Downtown, Duckpond and Duval.

These zones are new. The School Board approved a right-sizing plan, announced in a district news release on March 13, 2026, that redrew elementary, middle and high school zones for 2026-27, the first districtwide rezoning since 2003. Details are on the district’s Our Schools, Future Ready page.
