Last checked Oct. 9, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Breakfast in Gainesville clusters around Butler Plaza and SW 34th Street, where three of these places sit, and in the northwest along NW 16th Boulevard and NW 25th Place. Downtown has two Opus Coffee cafes, one of them an Airstream trailer in the 4th Ave Food Park.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Gainesville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 9, 2026. Opus Coffee runs several more cafes inside UF Health hospitals and campus buildings; we list the two open to everyone downtown. Places whose own website we could not reach, or whose site points only to social media, are left off for now. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry. For weekend brunch, see our brunch guide.
