Gainesville’s independent pizza is mostly downtown, where a brick-oven pizza bar sits on SE 1st Street and two pizza kitchens share a block of SW 4th Avenue, and on West University Avenue near the University of Florida. Satchel’s is on its own on NE 23rd Avenue, and the delivery chains are in the northwest.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Gainesville’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 9, 2026. Places whose sites we could not reach or that do not give a Gainesville address are left off until we can confirm them. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
